MISS NEW YORK

Around 3 years ago at this time I was in New York. The plan was to spend my 30th there, but due to extreme weather conditions I ended up having to spend my birthday back home in Denmark and then going to New York later. It wasn't exactly an ideal option, but the trip still ended up being one of the best trips ever. I first visited New York when I was 18 and I was on my way to Seattle to become an Au-Pair. I didn't like the city that much then, but this time round I more than loved it. Back then my heart was set on the west coast and their more relaxed way of living so I think that is the main reason to why I didn't like it first time round. Like London there is always something to do in New York, and the difference on the areas is also significant. I especially liked the Meat Packing District where I also stayed when I was there last. Pastis is a great place to go for brunch, lunch or dinner and the highline is also a great way to see some of the views of the river. As you can probably imagine I did a lot of shopping there, mostly clothes but also an Alexander Wang duffle bag. I only spent 6 days there and although that was enough for my wallet it wasn't enough for me. I would definitely like to go back soon.

I usually travel to the US every second year, but the last time I went is now four years ago and I really want to go back. I'm hoping that I can go next summer. Not to New York, but to LA, San Diego and Seattle. Then New York will have to wait a bit.
