PARIS SOON AND THE JOYS OF LIVING IN LONDON

I'm nearly off to Paris with three of my friends. It's so great to have the opportunity to go on trips like these and just enjoy some alone time with your good friends. I'll miss little A a lot but also sometimes need that alone time so I don't completely forget who I was before I had her. It's great to spend as much time with her as I can and I really start to enjoy it much more than when she was younger. I love waking up every day to someone who greets you like you are the most important person in the world.

Today I spent the afternoon at a music class and one thing I also really like about having a child is how easy it is to get new friends. You really bond with other mums in a totally different way than you would have done without children. It's great to attend play groups and music classes with new friends. Especially since it is more difficult to make new friends in your local area (and if you live abroad) it is great to have the opportunity to meet people this way. Most other mums that I meet don't work or work part time so I sometimes feel a bit envious of them but at the same time I think I need to work in order to enjoy my time with little A even more.

Last year M and I went on our first trip without little A to Paris. We rented a flat through air b nb and stayed in Montmarte, I love that area. This time I will be really close to Notre Dame so it is really central as well. Can't wait to go out for dinners, go shopping and enjoy my friends but I also look forward to going back home again to little A and M ( to them but not my flat as we are without power on the fourth day and the landlord is the slowest landlord ever to fix things! We have lived with a blocked kitchen sink for seven months now.) Living in London is expensive and not always fun.
