It is no secret that my all time favorite place to go grocery shopping is Whole Foods. I wish they had something similar in Denmark because that is one of the shops I'm going to miss the most. I'm really lucky to have two Whole Foods close to me. The biggest one on Kensington High Street and another one in Fulham. My sister has just been visiting and we went a little crazy in Whole Foods as it is much cheaper than back home. I had a list of what to get so the new cook books I have will be easier to use. Coconut oil is essential and it is around half price of what you would pay in Denmark. I'm also looking forward to baking some sugar free cakes with rice malt syrup.
Yesterday my sister and I had a salad from their salad bar and sushi with whole grains and quinoa rice which was delicious. For dessert we had a passion fruit raw cake. If I had the money I would buy all my food in Whole Foods but for now it is just the essentials and the little extra treat that I get there. The other added bonus is that you never feel unhealthy when eating food from there as most is raw and organic. I will try to fill my suitcase with as much as I possible can so I will be able to have a food cupboard full of goodness when we move back home.
Speaking of moving back home, there is only four weeks left and I don't feel ready at all. I'm just hoping for excellent summer weather as we are taking some trips to Jutland and Sweden, so at least having that to look forward to can help me in the process of moving country.
