It feels like ages away, but I left London around a week ago. Before I left I was extremely busy packing and then I lost someone who meant the world to me, so there hasn't been much time to do blog posts. Tomorrow I will say goodbye to that person and it still feels so unreal what has happened which might be a reason to why London feels so far away now. But before I left I managed to do go out more than I have the whole of this year.
Two Tuesdays in a row I went out and watched a movie. If you are ever in London on a Tuesday you can get half price cinema tickets from Vue cinemas. Before going to the cinema I went to my favorite sushi place in Soho called Hi Sushi on Frith street. It is all you can eat but you still choose your dishes from a la carte menu so it always taste so good.
After dinner we went for a walk by Picadilly and China Town and even though it was busy it was still really quiet according to London standards. My favorite London is always the less busy areas and I know exactly where and when to go to the busy hectic areas and enjoy them not being too crowded. I also went into Rainforest cafe which is a great place to go with children. I often went when I lived in the US fifteen years ago and the children are always entertained there.
Another day that week I also went to a thai street kitchen restaurant in West Kensington. It hasn't been there too long and I have already tried it a few times. It is not as good as my favorite thai on Charlotte street (go there for lunch and try the Drunken noodles with tofu) but it is one of the best ones in the area. I already miss the food in London (although I still don't have any appetite and don't enjoy eating) but just the options of being healthy eating fastfood. I recently went to a supermarket in Denmark and although there is lot of good and healthy organic food, there are no healthy ready meal options.
Pictures are from Picadilly, Hi Sushi in Soho, Chinatown, Regent st, Rainforest cafe and Thai on North End Road.
