Yesterday I was on my way to one of my favorite tea salons in Copenhagen; Tante T thinking I was going to meet my three friends, but instead all my friends were there surprising me with a baby shower. Since there is only a few days left to my due date I had no idea that I was having a shower this time. With little A I was so lucky to have a baby shower in Denmark and one in London, so I didn't expect anything this time. My friends have spoiled me a lot lately and I'm extremely grateful to have them all in my life. Even one of my best friends from London was there and although I saw her the day before it was so good to see her once more as I miss her a lot after I have moved back home.
Another thing that also surprised me at my birthday is how well my friends know me and my style. Again at the shower they surprised me with only my favorite brands and all the colours clothes I prefer to the new baby and there was not one thing I wouldn't want to see my new baby in. On top of my friends buying me presents they had also arranged to get me tea and cake. I had a rooibos tea and a piece of cheesecake. Luckily I could eat it without feeling too sick. I'm counting down the days to my nine months long nausea will go away and at least I'm about to see light at the end of the tunnel. I must admit that I thought that my last pregnancy was the worst nine months of my life, but this time has been even worse. I will never be one of those people that enjoy being pregnant, that's for sure.
While I wait for the big day I spend a lot of my time at the gym or at the local swimming pool. In a few days (hopefully) I won't be able to go there for a while, but I'm hoping it won't be much more than five weeks like last time. Luckily I can bring the baby to the gym which I wasn't allowed to do in London, although there were the advantages of taking little A to the local children centre and having her at the creche while I did yoga. I think I will miss the children centres in London, but hopefully there will be something similar here.
